This
version of the Delayed Release Module has been designed to be
activated by an applied Positive Voltage to terminal TB2 or a
Positive Removed from terminal TB3. This allows the use of a Normally
Closed (NC) switched circuit such as an Intruder Alarm magnetic
door contact or a detector such as a Passive Infra Red movement
sensor. This makes the DRM-POS/NC suitable for door open warnings.
Simple alarm systems, switching lights or CCTV cameras and many
other applications where a signal is needed to be taken from control
equipment.
This version also features an up rated relay with contacts rated
at 3 amps, 24 volts DC and the provision to change the main capacitor
to increase the hold time to approximately 5 minutes.
NB. The time out period starts with the removal of the trigger
input and the timer will update if a trigger signal is reapplied
before time out.
The module can be selected to either: -
1) LATCH ON after removal of the trigger input until reset by
shorting the reset pins. (Timer pot must be turned to zero.)
2) DELAYED RELEASE until a pre-set time delay has elapsed. (Diode
D4 removed.) Normally adjustable from 0 to 60 seconds. (Longer
times to order.)
3) TRANSISTORISED RELAY with time set to zero, the relay follows
the input trigger.
TRIGGER INPUTS
1) A break in the positive hold off to terminate TB3 (A link must
be fitted between positive and terminal TB2)
2) +ve start. (+5 volts to +15 volts) applied to TB2
The changeover relay is rated at 3 amps at 24 volts DC. The DRM-POS/NC
is available with maximum timer durations of either 1 minute or
5 minutes. For applications where 12 volts are not
